WBA was founded in 1981 by Barrie Williamson . Will Business Applications was a sole proprietorship providing business computer support for small companies, mostly small manufacturing companies in southeastern Pennsylvania. WBA specialized in programming mini-mainframes such as the IBM-System/36. Later, WBA supported AS-400 and pc based systems.
In 2001, Joby Williamson started providing controls systems integration services as a division of WBA. WBA Automation was born. In 2004, WBA was incorporated in Pennsylvania.
In 2006, Corey Williamson joined, creating the Environmental, Health, and Safety Group of WBA.
For many years, WBA offices were located in Oley, PA, in a converted barn that was the original manufacturing facility for the Woodman’s Pal, a military machete used extensively in World-War II and subsequent conflicts. In 2016, WBA took over operations of AI Control Systems and moved to its current 15000 square foot facility in Reading, PA.
